At the same time, as China’s financial industry reform, the pace of interest rate liberalization is accelerated, and the capital market is developing rapidly, which form a huge pressure for China’s commercial banks that depend on deposit and loan spreads as the main source of profits. Therefore, China’s commercial banks developing the investment banking business actively has both external pressure and inner motivation. Commercial banks’carrying out diversified investment banking business is helpful for widening income channel, enhance their competition ability and realize the transformation goal, and also for widely involved in international business in the future.Firstly, the development status of the investment banking business of commercial banks in China are analyzed, the relevant laws and regulations, business model, and business situation analysis, find the existing investment banking business of commercial banks in China from,and the causes were analyzed,and then introduces the foreign commercial banks have been involved in the investment banking business mode,respectively.The analysis of advantages and disadvantages of the model American,Germany and Japan.
