The Research Of Developing Investment Bank Business By Commercial Bank In China

Currently, China's commercial banks are facing two major difficulties: First, with the full opening of China's financial markets, markets belonging to China's commercial banks were squeezed by foreign banks; Second, the domestic capital market with the continuous development and improvement, traditional business of banking is constrained by the financial "disintermediation" phenomenon. Those two plights provide commercial banks with a motivation to develop investment banking business. Besides, financial internationalization, financial liberalization and financial integration trends provide commercial banks a realistic basis to operating investment banking business. Sub-loan crisis arising from the United States provides us a new perspective to look at the commercial banks developing investment banking business . In the context of financial crisis , researching and empirical analyzing commercial banks in china to develop investment banking business ,and proposing suggestion of the development of China's commercial banks, which benefit to the development of China's commercial banks and financial deepening of China's reform direction.This paper first theoretically analyzes the development of commercial banks in investment banking community to reduce financial risk, lower social costs and improve the efficiency of financial resource allocation, promoting the social benefits. Commercial banks all-round developing investment banking business is an inevitable trend. Then, this paper analyzes the current situation of China's commercial banks developing investment banking business. Finally, analyzing the inspiration from U.S. investment bank turned bank holding company, and the the existing problems of the investment banking business development, and putting forward three against proposals for the investment banking business development.
