Liaoning Equipment ManufacturingIndustry Growth Effect Analysis-Based On The FDI Technology Spillover

With the development of economic globalization, technology transfer and diffusionof the host country have become an important way to improve the technical level andpromote economic development, and many countries, especially developing countriessuccessively formulated policies, encourage foreign investment. FDI not only can drivethe monetary capital to transfer unilaterally and expand the capital stock; FDI canpromote the technology spillover effect, and promote the technology level of the hostcountry domestic enterprises to improve labor productivity and help the host countryimplement endogenetic economic growth. Endogenous growth is considered to be goodin the field of macroeconomic scale increasing return of the nature of the pattern ofeconomic growth. From the theoretical and practical point of view, this prediction has itsrationality.The equipment manufacturing industry is the important industry to providetechnology and equipment for the national economy and national security, covers the hostproducts and components, repair parts and technical services, etc. From the point ofindustry development pattern, the equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoningprovince has comparative advantage. The industry has the ability of absorbing toundertake international industrial transfer, represents the core competitiveness ofLiaoning industry. At present, the equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoningprovince processing ability is stronger, and many products depend on the support of FDI,but what about the level of the equipment manufacturing industry’s FDI spillover effectof Liaoning province, what the main factors affect the equipment manufacturingindustry’s FDI technology spillover effect is the problem worthy to be discussed. How touse more effective and high quality for the FDI technology spillover effect, and promotethe Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry benign and sustainable development ofdomestic enterprises has important theoretical significance and practical significance.For content, this paper summarized the research status at home and abroad. On thebasis of the first part, the paper discusses theoretical connotation of FDI technology spillover effect, the path of technology spillovers and FDI technology spillover effect indetail. Combined with the equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoning provincepresent situation, the introduction of foreign capital situation and the use of FDItechnology spillover effect, introduced of relevant data, and used panel data model to theexistence of the equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoning province FDI technologyspillover effect and the influence factors for empirical analysis. Finally put forward thecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions to the equipment manufacturing industryin Liaoning province. Hope that the absorption of domestic enterprises could be best andstrengthen the degree of correlation between domestic and foreign enterprises could bestronger in order to improve FDI technology spillover effect.According to the results of this empirical study, this paper get the followingconclusion: from2007to2012, equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoning provinceFDI technology spillover effect is significantly negative, industry technology forwardlinkage effect is significant, the technology backward linkage effect is negative and notsignificant. The technology gap between domestic and foreign firms is too much, and isbad for technology spillover effect between industries. By comparing market competitionlevel between the two groups, we had found that higher the degree of competition in themarket for industry production,the better technology spillover effect acts, and theinfluence of the technology spillover effect of the market competition between industriesis not obvious.
