Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, China’s financial market construction has made great progress. With the development of the economy, the living standards of our people have improved greatly, as well as the increasing satisfaction of people’s material and spiritual life. Meanwhile, the accumulation of personal wealth always comes along with the continuous improvement of the market mechanism. There are various kinds of investment on the market, which could confuse the investors a lot since they have no idea whether they should stick to bank deposits, purchase financial products, invest in stocks, buy futures, or invest in real estate. Individual investors should make a reasonable judgment based on their own circumstances on choosing their own investment products to get the expected profits.This paper evaluates the personal investment in Bengbu risk-return preferences, and then draws the relevant conclusions and makes some policy recommendations. The research object is Bengbu City of region-wide survey in order to influence individual investment preferences. The relevant knowledge and investment portfolio management theory in investor preferences in some of the principles, within the scope of Bengbu City area and some related Bengbu forum according to gender, age, income level, and benefits from a risk perspective, based on the investigation and assessment of the effectiveness, conveniences, user-friendly condition and acceptance of respondents principles.Article is divided into five parts:The first part introduces the research background, research purpose, usage and basic research situation; second part shows the theory of investment preferences and the principles summarized research design; Part III mainly discuss the questionnaire designs, implementation process and the recovery of the questionnaire; Part IV analyzes the data and investment preferences of individual investors of different backgrounds; The fifth part focuses on the investigation and analysis of the conclusion and recommendations.
