A Deep Research About The Change Of The Pattern Of World Economy

before the15th century,China was the Hegemon in the world. Compared with the West, China was much better in economic and science.But then some special things happened.Columbus discovered the new continent and because of this the feudal system was broken in the West. After then,the industrial revolution happened in England, the technology developed and a new financial system was created. As a result, the West became stronger and stronger. On the contrary, China stayed in the feudal society,and it just started to decline. In the end, a new pattern is formed,China is no longer the king of the world any more. Instead, the West begin to control the world. This subversive change is just like a attractive mystery that make people try to reveal the answer. There were many scholars trying to seek the answer and the question is the so called "needham question". So the purpose of this paper is trying to answer the question through my research. And my view is:because of the difference in geographical environment, China and the west countries have different cultures. Cultures and institutions interact with each other and they all influence peoples’ behaviors. These different behaviors make different countries become the hegemon in the world during different historical stage.
