With the advent of e-commerce, the consumers demands on logistics distributionis highly increased, distribution has to be fast, accurate and timely, how to improvethe efficiency of logistics distribution? Constructing reasonable distribution route,optimizing the distribution system, and achieving the minimization of delivery costis a key of the problem, this work will be extremely great, also, it relates to whetherthe logistics industry can be rapid and healthy development, the issue is also worththinking and discussing by scholars and managers of logistics enterprises. Afterverification of most scholars, we can see that the rational use of modern informationtechnology and mathematical model to optimize delivery management, to raise thelevel of service quality and delivery management, it will be an effective way toimprove logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve rapid development ofenterprises.This article researched as follows: Firstly, analyzed the less-than-truckloadlogistics business processes. Briefly introduced LTL logistics definitions,characteristics and distribution process; discussed the definition, characteristics andthe necessary of delivery route optimization. Then,provided an overview of the WLogistics Company distribution operations. Describes the overall distributionprocess of the company, and elaborated on the operation status of the regionaldistribution center in Guangzhou, through the analysis of the organizational structureand the factors affecting the distribution, it pointed out the problems in thedistribution center. Furthermore, constructed a delivery route optimization modeland designed a system. Based on the constraint of the time window, payload andlimited capacity, it construct model, and using C.W-saving algorithm solved themodel, and then used the Dorado presentation framework finished systemdesignation. At last, it introduced the actual business data of W Logistics Companyto validate the model. Results showed that the system on the delivery routeoptimization is rational and practical; it can provide the scientific basis to thedecision-making on the delivery route arrangement.
