Abstract:In today’s high-speed economic development, science and technology, innovation’s contribution to economic growth has far exceeded the contribution of capital and labor, the two traditional factors of production, the new three factors are becoming the most important decision factors in long-term steady economic growth. The tradition of technological innovation hurts the environment while promoting rapid economic growth. Shanxi is rich in mineral resources, which made the economic droved by single industrial structure and a lot of damage had been made on the environment caused. Maintaining the triple pressure of economic growth, industrial structure adjustment and environmental protection, taking the road of green innovation is the inevitable choice for Shanxi. Taking research in Green innovation efficiency of Shanxi Province has important practical significance to understand the factors affecting the efficiency of green innovation, to grasp the status of Shanxi Province’s green innovation and efficiency, to improve green innovation, accelerate the transformation of the mode of economic development of Shanxi Province.Based on the theory of the sort of green innovation and summary, thesis describes the meaning of green innovation, the concept of green innovation and establishes a green innovation efficiency evaluation index system. Through innovation efficiency evaluation method study, finally adopt the improved four-stage SBM-DEA model and malmquist model to do efficiency measurement. This choice not only takes the environmental factors into account, but also examines the environment factors on efficiency. Through the analysis of the results, this article indicating the status of Shanxi green innovation efficiency and the reasons form this status, which provides a basis for policy recommendations.There are three creative works in this article. The first is elabrating the concept and meaning of green innovation, and establish a green innovation efficiency evaluation index system. The second is adopting the improved four-stage SBM-DEA model and malmquist model to do efficiency measurement, taking the environmental factors into account in efficiency evaluation.
