Abstract/Summary:
The historical path of the Sudanese economy was characterized with turmoil between thesituations of stability and instability. This was mainly due to the disruption of developmenteconomic policies on one hand, and political instability during the periods of nationalgovernance on the other. We note that the economic situation always was direct cause of thepolitical map changes in Sudan. Despite the development efforts and reforms that have beenmade to improve the situation of the Sudanese economy, but it still suffers from substantialimbalances related to the economic structure, Although the Sudanese economy involvessignificant opportunities if it handled properly and utilized with necessary efficiency it willput the economy on the right path and it well make it able to absorbers all the potential shocks, especially, there are a number of political and economic challenges that must be faced andovercome in order to use the great economic opportunities that inherent the Sudaneseeconomy. To deal with these imbalances should take a lesson and learn from the experiencesof developing countries that have succeeded in correcting their economic path and hadbenefited from all the opportunities to promote the economic development and China is agood example for those countries which saw continuous growth in the last thirty years invarious economic aspects, especially in the industrial sector, which is considered the basis ofChina’s economic boom the thing that has contributed, in turn, to make China a significanttrade country, especially that this boom did not occur as a result of an accident but was builton the foundations of a sound strategy and planning, the thing which allowed China toarousing the attention especially economists, especially, that development had coincidedwith the a quantum leap taking place in the Asian continent, particularly the Far East thematter that inspired my idea to take the advantage of the Chinese model and attempt todevelop it in developing countries, because of the success of Chinese model which consideredas one of the developing countries, the matter that could maximizing the benefit, and theselection of Sudan to apply this research because of the similarity between Sudan and China(theoretically) in terms of geographical location as it is also located in the east of the Africancontinent and it represent as one of the main entrances to the African continent, also becauseof area considerations that Sudan considered as one of the largest countries in the Africancontinent, with multi-ethnic and richness of resources and energy as it can be considered as (amicro China) in addition to that China before the reforms, which became in1978, was in the same stage which passes by the Sudanese economy currently. Taking into consideration thatthe meaning of the idea is not the direct copy of this experience because of impossibility ofthat theoretically and practically, but to take advantage by using what is commensurate withthe Sudanese economic situation in terms of the principles and literature especially with whatis dealing with policies of industrialization, openness, urban growth and competition betweenregions.
