At present, China’s dual economic structure of rural-urban divide is still very obvious,there are sill problems like inefficient development and single production structure in ruralareas, this year’s central economic work conference proposed the mission of shiftingeconomic development mode by fostering new economic impetus. In this situation andbackground, as a new economic form, rural creative economy is becoming particularlyimportant in promoting rural industrial structure and cultivating new economic growth pointsin rural areas. But because rural creative economy’s novel situation and short developmenttime, the pilot areas are mostly carried out in the production and operation of government’ssupport at present, farmers dependent strongly on policy, and subject to their prior knowledge,ability level, the forms of development are generally convergent, and have uneven level ofoperating and low efficiency. Under this situation, this study find the features of farmers’ability under rural creative economy based on the field research of nearby villages andexisting research conclusions. The purpose of this study is to improve the currentunderstanding of the practice of rural economy, to provide a reference of rural policy forrelevant departments, to cultivate farmers’ abilities, to promote the sustainable developmentof creative economy.This study selected Yangling in Shaanxi Province as a research area, take farmers from5nearby villages in Yangling which have carried out creative economic practice as samples.After analyzing the basic situation of these households and consolidate the ability of the12items which were initially set by using the method of principal component analysis, we finallygot four main factors and then got a comprehensive formula to measure the ability of eachfarmer self-development, also, composite score and individual scores, the correlation betweenthe composite score and economic benefits were analyzed by chart analysis.Through the analysis of survey data, this paper has drawn the following conclusions:Among those basic skills that farmers should have in the form of creative economy, mentalstatus and level of thinking ability have the largest impact on the operation of family. Thispaper define it as new development ability, including compressive capacity, mental outlookemotional ability, judgment ability, ability to innovate. Abilities reflecting the farmers’communication abilities such as finance skills, communication skills and information capability are the second big impacts. The third impact are farmers’ emergency responseability and decision-making ability. The last impact are farmers’ common abilities such aslearning ability and cognitive ability; The analysis result of comprehensive ability for farmersassociated with the economic benefits showed that self-development capacity levels arepositively correlated with the economic benefits of family. It confirms the consensus thatstronger abilities bring higher economic benefits and improving self-development ability offarmers can promote long-term operating income for farmers; The analysis of the farmers’ability from typical household found that the ability of each farmer among the same areashowed a certain imbalance, indicating there existing the demand of enhancing the ability offarmers; From the point of view of sample data for score of individual farmers’ ability,information capacity of farmers in this region are generally weak, farmers lack the ability ofindependency. Based on the above conclusions, this paper put forward policyrecommendations from aspects of vocational skills training, cultivating successors,information support, communication skills cultivating and creating innovative atmosphere tooffer reference suggestions for policy making departments.
