Research On The Impact Of Knowledge Absorptive Capacity On Radical Innovation Performance

Abstract:In the context of the era of knowledge-driven economy and building an innovation country, radical innovation has get more and more attention of scholars. In the complex market environment, the enterprise external knowledge has significant effect on radical innovation. In this paper, the enterprise knowledge absorptive capacity as a breakthrough point, also putting knowledge integration into research, discusses enterprise knowledge capacity’s impact on radical innovation performance.Firstly, on the basis of relevant documents, a theoretical analysis on relationship among knowledge capacity, knowledge integration and radical innovation performance was carried out to establish corresponding conceptual model, which includes two parts:The one part is researching effect on radical innovation performance through the four-dimension of the corporate knowledge absorptive capacity-knowledge acquisition capacity, knowledge digestion capacity, knowledge transformation capacity and knowledge utilization capacity; The second part is researching mediating effect between corporate knowledge absorptive capacity and radical innovation performance through knowledge integration. Secondly, on the basis of previous research, the author designs the research scales, which are revised after pilot study. Thirdly, this research uses SPSS19.0for descriptive statistical analysis, Cronbach’s a reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis. Then it uses the correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to test the validity of the conceptual model and the significance on each hypothesis.The empirical results show that:the four-dimension of the corporate knowledge absorptive capacity are knowledge acquisition capacity, knowledge digestion capacity, knowledge transformation capacity and knowledge utilization capacity, which have significant positive effect on radical innovation performance and corporate knowledge integration; the corporate knowledge integration also have significant positive effect on radical innovation performance. The empirical results also show that: knowledge integration has mediating effect between corporate knowledge absorptive capacity and radical innovation performance. Namely, corporate knowledge absorptive capacity has indirect effect on radical innovation performance through knowledge integration. There are8graphics,37charts and139references in this paper.
