At present, marketing competition is becoming fiercer because of the globalization of the world economy. While China has joined the WTO and integrated into world economy, domestic tobacco corporations are facing more challenges result from overseas tobacco corporation and market reform. Tobacco corporations play an important role in tobacco manufacturing and consuming; their management level determines the efficiency of tobacco circulation and their service ability to retail customers. Therefore, there is a common view to improve the management level and enhance service ability and stimulate the conversion of traditional commerce to modern circulation.When the connotation-based development is becoming more and more important, market competition depends on the management level. To be a first class tobacco corporation, many advanced management methods must be used to improve the internal management level and efficiency. Objective performance management and lean management are still growing and employed by many excellent companies. These companies construct their own management modes based on their developing situation and there are good choices for managers of tobacco companies.The thesis discusses the management practices of CD Tobacco Corporation, and how to use objective performance management mode in this corporation. A whole process of constructing and improving this model is stated. The author aims at how to increase the management efficiency, and how to construct a proper management mode. To avoid the problems and disadvantages of the present supervise-and-check based mode, the author uses objective performance management and redesigns new objective-and-efficiency based management mode. This mode includes the objective system, check system and operation mechanism. This management mode is practiced and optimized in the CD Tobacco Corporation. After optimization, this mode becomes fit for the corporation’s actual case.The thesis has six chapters. Chapter one is introduction mainly points out the study background and study content of the thesis and expounds the study method and the whole structure. Chapter Two mainly introduces the related study theoretic foundation. Chapter Three completely introduces working check-up model and points out the existing problems and shortages via analysis and summary. Chapter Four brings out detailing solution and defines the thought for objective performance management model, detailing frame and main content for those problems and shortages. Chapter Five proceeds analysis summary for running status of objective performance management and brings out optimized perfect scheme and proceeds practical running to validate the effect. Chapter Six summarizes the working process and the result of company objective performance management and brings out valuable suggestions.
