Application Research Of Performance Excellence Model In Small And Medium Manufacturing Enterprise

Striving for excellent performance management is the trend of managementdevelopment in the twenty-first century. With the rapid process of economicglobalization and increasingly fierce market competition, the small and mediummanufacturing enterprises in China are faced with unprecedented opportunities andchallenges. Many enterprises gradually realize that learning and introducing advancedmanagement method is very significant for the sustainable development of enterprise.Performance Excellence Model is a kind of comprehensive performance managementmodel for organization which is widely accepted and general used in the world, and aneffective method for improving organizational performance and enterprisecompetitiveness recognized by world-class successful enterprises. Therefore, thein-depth study on Performance Excellence Model and its practical application in smalland medium-sized manufacturing enterprises have practical guiding significance foraccelerating the development of small and medium manufacturing enterprises in Chinaand improving the profitability of enterprise operation.At first, this paper introduces the background, application status, fundamentalphilosophy, frame and main content, etc. of Performance Excellence Model in themanner of theoretical study. Then, using the leading-in of Performance ExcellenceModel in Zhengzhou Power Equipment Works as a living example, this paper focuseson the establishment process and the concrete implementation method of the followingsix aspects, which are the cultural system of the enterprise, strategic managementsystem, customer and market information collection and management system, peopleoriented staff management system, process management system, and the enterpriseperformance measurement, analysis and improvement system; this paper also elaborateson various applied modern management tools such as Five Forces Model analysis,SWOT analysis and BSC. At last, this paper conducts an evaluation analysis for theachieved effect and existing problems of Zhengzhou Power Equipment Worksimplementing Performance Excellence Model and draws a conclusion that leading-inPerformance Excellence Model is an effective method for sustainable development andstriving for excellence of small and medium manufacturing enterprises, and also is thestriving direction about operation and management of small and medium manufacturingenterprises in China.
