Agriculture is the pillar industry of national economy in our country. The study of theAgricultural productivity is not only a measure of the embodiment of the level of agriculturalproduction in our country, but also an important way to guarantee the sustained growth of theagricultural economy. In order to realize the sustainable development of agriculture, thecontradiction between the scarcity of resources in agriculture and infinite demand of humansociety, the problems of improving the output per unit of factor input and achieving fairdistribution of resources in the intergenerational have appearing gradually. Therefore, theresearch on agricultural productivity becomes particularly important. Based on this, wemeasured and estimated the agricultural production efficiency by combining single factorproductivity and total factor productivity, obtained the comparison of efficiency between thedecision-making units and different time. On the basis of assessment of the actual level ofagricultural production, the understanding towards optimize allocation of agricultural inputsfactors and production structure adjustment are always the focus of research.This paper calculates the single elements of agricultural production efficiency and totalfactor productivity about12towns in Ansai County (1992-2012) by using the index analysisand data envelopment analysis (DEA) to analyze the differences between various villages andtowns and trajectory over time. Meanwhile, in order to get the influence factors of agriculturalproductivity, multiple regression method is used to carry out the various influence factors ofagricultural efficiency empirically. Final Destination is to achieve resource optimizationconfiguration and structure adjustment in production of Ansai County. First, it is found thatthe agricultural output value of unit labor, unit sown area and unit effective irrigation area hasimproved through calculating the single factor productivity of Ansai County by index method.The dependence of Labor cattle also has been weakened. But the mechanical efficiency is notenough to promote the development of agricultural production efficiency. Secondly, based onthe calculation of total factor productivity of villages and towns in1992-2012using theMalmquist-DEA method, it is obtained that the change trend of agricultural productionefficiency in time as well as the differences between the villages and towns. The results provethat agricultural total factor productivity has a downward trend in recent years. Technologicalprogress plays a leading role in this process while the efficiency of resource allocation technology influence is not significant. Finally, through the empirical analysis of influencingfactors, it is concluded that the existing irrigation technology has led to the low efficiency ofproduction. And mechanical use density has a positive effect on agricultural productivity.Moreover existing rural financial service has a negative influence.In order to realize the sustainable development of Ansai County agricultural productivityand economy, agricultural production of Ansai County should focus on optimizing theagricultural structure adjustment, improving the management level of agricultural production,paying attention to agricultural science and technology innovation and agricultural machineryuse density. At the same time, we should vigorously promote the construction of the regionalcharacteristic industries and realize the scale, intensive modern management in agriculturalproduction.
