Research On The Hotel Supply Chain Risk Assessment

Since the21st century, market competition has risen from the competition betweencompanies to the competition between supply chains, and the supply chain managementhas been widely used. It can reduce costs and improve operational efficiency effectively.With the development of economy, if the hotel companies want to obtain more profits andcompetitive advantage, the application of supply chain management is particularlyimportant.However, the supply chain has its own complexity, and its internal and externalenvironment are also complex and varied. So supply chain management not only bringsbenefits and competitiveness, but also brings a certain degree of risk to the companies.Therefore, it has become a very important issue in hotel supply chain management thathow to identify risks of the hotel supply chain and assess risk scientifically and effectively.In this paper, the research object is the hotel supply chain. First of all, we analyze thecharacteristics of the hotel supply chain, construct the hotel supply chain structure model,elaborated the supply chain upstream node enterprise and downstream node enterprise andthe characteristics of them. Secondly, combining the principles of risk identification, weidentify the risk factors of hotel supply chain and analyze the causes of risk factors fromfive aspects: environmental risk, management risk, cooperation risks, information risksand the risk dominated by enterprises themselves.Thirdly, we determine the weights of therisk indicators by analytic hierarchy process, and establish a risk assessment model basedon gray fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Finally, we take Y hotel as an exampleto assess its supply chain risk according the the index system and evaluation model whichis established in this paper. Then we obtain the level of risk of the Y hotel supply chain,verify if the evaluation model is reasonable and feasible, and put forward thecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
