The picking strategy and information is an important factor affecting thewarehouse operation efficiency and quality. Design reasonable picking strategy andpicking path, not only can improve warehouse work efficiency, but also caneffectively reduce logistics cost. Extensive application of modern informationtechnology in the logistics industry, can creating good conditions for warehousemanagement informatization, intelligent, automation, standardization. Application ofwarehouse management system (WMS) can effectively improving the efficiency ofthe warehouse management, reducing the cost of warehouse, improving servicequality of supply chain, enhancing the market competitiveness of enterprises. This dissertation is focused upon the production of the large enterprise.Use themethod of combining Research and mathematical models. Make The Study onimprovement of S company Semi-finished products warehouse picking strategy andwarehouse management system. The total length of the shortest path as the targetfunction and packing equipment capacity as constraint condition to batch all of thepicking lists, and then via C-W to get the solution. The personnel efficiency wasanalyzed after optimization according to the factors of the economics principle thelaw of diminishing marginal utility. And discuss what measures can improveperformance. In the route of order picking optimization aspect, this thesis based on thebatching model, referenced TSP, made the secondary optimization to the picking route. After the order picking optimization, management and control all warehouseoperation process by WMS. Compare the key performance of the warehouse afterintroduced WMS system.
