The Study On The Influence Of Forest Certification On The Export Of China’s Wood Furniture Products

In the past twenty years, the ecological environment on the earth has beendeteriorating, as a result, the forest question become more and more highlighted.In order to curb the deterioration of the ecological environment on the earth, more andmore notions and instruments, for promoting sustainable development and management onSocial and natural resources as well, have been created and applied by world people.Forest Certification is one of them, this paper studies and analyzes the influences of forestcertification on the export of china’s wood furniture products.The first and second chapters of this paper: Mainly introducing the background ofwhere Forest Certification stemmed from and purpose and practical significance of forestcertification; Analyzing the development and status quo of forest certification in the world;Setting out a variety of forest certification in the world.The third chapter, Analyzing the status quo of world wood furniture industries and theirtrade globally including china; Elaborating by means of Poter’s value chain theory thatchina’s wood furniture industry only has a little profit for it is on the manufacturingprocess in whole value chain in the world.The fourth chapter: Based on the analysis in the third chapter on profit of china’s woodfurniture industry, further analyzing the increasing cost of forest certification, meanwhileexpounding and proving that forest certification will be new green barrier in the future;Finally analyzing the negative and positive influences from forest certification.The fifth chapter: In order to shake off the negative impact from forest certification,there here have some suggestions accordingly: Setting up and promoting china’s ownforest certification; Fully bringing into play the governmental mechanism on manipulatingmacroscopic policies; Actively take part in drafting green standards and guiding the impacton trading business in international arena; Enhancing competitive capability of china’swood furniture enterprises; Cultivating domestic market.The sixth and seventh chapters: By analysis of the case, in short term, the situationof low net profits of china’s wood furniture enterprises would not been improved thoughthey have already done great job in managements on their enterprises if government doesnot launch corrective policies.This thesis studies the influence of forest certification on wood furniture products, and further providing oriented suggestions for china’s wood furniture products enterprises totake positive positions from negative positions in global trade.
