A Research On Motivation And Influence Of Implementing Forest Certification For Wood Furniture Export Enterprises In China

In the international trade of forest products in China,the export volume of wood furniture always ranks the top 5 in the export volume of all kinds of forest products in China,accounting for about 20%.In all countries to which China’s wood furniture exports go,the proportion of exports to the United States and Eu member states is more than 60%.European and American countries have laws and regulations on imported forest products,including all wood furniture,requiring products to pass traceable chain supervision and certification.Although the original intention of forest certification is to promote the process of forest sustainable development,it also restricts the export of wood furniture in China to a certain extent,resulting in green trade barriers.From the point of view of wood furniture export enterprises,starting from the motivation of enterprises to implement forest certification and its impact,we can explore the effect of the new green trade barrier on wood furniture export enterprises.Through the methods of theoretical research,questionnaire survey and case analysis,this paper explores the motivation of wood furniture export enterprises to promote forest certification and its influence on wood furniture export enterprises,and on this basis,discusses the decision-making mechanism of wood furniture export enterprises to implement forest certification.This paper firstly sorts out the theories related to international trade,environmental economics,enterprise economics and this topic,analyzes the development status of China’s wood furniture export enterprises and the development status of forest certification,and takes this as the analysis basis.Secondly,by means of questionnaire survey and multi-case analysis,the paper analyzes the motivation and influence of China’s wood furniture export enterprises to implement forest certification.Finally,the conclusion is drawn: forest certification is a kind of green trade barrier that has a positive effect on the sustainable management of wood furniture export enterprises and the sustainable development of wood furniture industry.Finally,based on the above conclusions,Suggestions are put forward for wood furniture enterprises,including product process upgrading,integration of smart home,expanding marketing channels,strengthening brand awareness,etc.Suggestions for the government include constructing green trade barriers and supporting the upgrading of wood furniture export industry.
