As global economic integration of the sustainable development of the increasinglyfierce market competition, the auto parts manufacturing industry has entered a meagerprofit era, so the cost management is facing severe challenges. Many famous largeenterprises only pay attention on the cost control of the raw material and ignore the spareparts purchasing for a long time, which leads to higher management cost of spare partspurchasing and the increasing of normal production halts risks. Furthermore, the stock ofspare parts will be much more than the normal requirements of production. Such situationhas changed with the supplier management idea arising in the1990s and capitalmanagement started focusing by some transnational enterprises. The spare parts purchasingmanagement has become an important subject for the people.This paper is based on the background of enterprise spare parts management. Itintroduced the disordered enterprise internal spare parts management and high occupationof spare parts inventory, through the implementation of ABC classification, VEDclassification and ABC classification based on VED classification, to choose the suitableone for the enterprise; secondly, it introduced the forecast of17typical spare parts in theenterprise by moving average method and exponential smoothing method and did thecomparison with the actual used amount in2012, to get the suitable one for the enterprise;then did the calculation on the spare parts by the method of basic economic replenishmentquantity, limited supplemental economic batch replenishment, replenishment lead timeprocess and discrete demand economic replenishment quantity, to get the optimalreplenishment quantity and replenishment interval period, and made comparison with theoriginal stock, accounts for capital stock amount calculated reduced. For the spare parts ofmass usage, we built up SA in SAP system after negotiation with suppliers, to achieve thegoal of zero inventory. Via study of the significant benefits on the reduction of theenterprise purchasing cost and shortening of purchasing lead time and reduction ofinventory via modern inventory management proposes feasible new idea for the further improvement of the enterprise on the further operation.
