As having entered post-industrial stage of city development, Beijing raised the targetto become world city. Modern service industry, as leading and pillar industry of mostpost-industrial cities of the world, is the key to optimize and adjust the economicstructure in Beijing. So, to analyze the internal structure and inter-industry of modernservice industry which are relatively weak in present research have theoretical andpractical significances for the development of modern service industry in Beijing.At first, the classification of modern service industry is the basis of the internalstructure studies. Present classifications of modern service industry are practically forthe purpose of statistic application, based on the national industrial classificationstandards, and by qualitative analysis method to classify the modern service industry,these methods usually are empirically. For the in-depth study of development situationand the internal structure of modern service industry, qualitative classifications arequite deficient. In this paper, we from the internal industrial structure developmentpoint of view to classify the modern service industry. We further clarify theconnotation and the character of the modern service industry; then we selectedquantitative indicators which reflect the develop situation and characters of modernservice industry, define the scope of modern services industry with score weightingmethod and use cluster analysis method to carry out quantitative analysis in order toprovide reference for further theoretical studies of the modern service industry.Secondly, the inter-industry analyse of modern service industry are practically basedon the rough classification of existing statistical standard, they almost are the analyseof service industry, for the analysis of internal structure of modern service industryand the inter relations with other industry, they are still quite deficient. In this paper,base on the classification of modern service industry by quantitative analysis methods,the author divide and aggregate the Beijing’s input-output table, established ainput-output table of Beijing’s modern service industry. And from internal structureand the inter relations between modern service industry and other industry two aspects,to carry out the inter-industry analysis of Beijing’s modern service industry.
