In the1990s, many scholars made a lot of research for the matching problem betweenthe product modularity and supply chain, leading to a non-accepted conclusion yet. Somestudies suggest that the companies in the supply chain with high degree of productmodularity should be loose-coupled, while the supply chain with the low degree ofproduct modularity requires the cooperative companies closely linked. On the contrary, other studies have given exactly the opposite conclusion. All of these studies haveassociated data and corporate examples as evidence, so that researchers begin to believethe difference in service philosophy also have a corresponding impact on the supply chain, besides the product modularity. This thesis mainly revolves around the following three aspects: Firstly, this studyintroduces a service-dominate logic theory witch be proposed by Vargo&Lusch at2004and developed at2008to define and measure the service philosophy of the companies. With literature review, this research uses three concepts as the co-creation value network, interactive behavior and organizational structure to be the keys to measure the differenceof corporate service philosophy. This difference will be considered as one of the factorsimpacted the matching problem. Secondly, the empirical research is completed accordingto previous reference methods by visiting a number of Chinese manufacturing enterprises. With the cluster analysis and factor analysis for the collected data, this study tries todistinguish the interviewed enterprises to different ethnic groups. At the last, this studyanalysis the matching problem for product modularity and supply chain on the perspectiveof service-dominate logic according to the feedback of supply chain performance so thatdrawing the appropriate conclusions, hoping to make certain constructive advice to theservice dominant logic transformation for Chinese enterprises.
