Study On The Operating Efficiency Of Technology And Service Corporations Of Petroleum Engineering Based On DEA Cross-evaluation

Petroleum engineering technical service enterprises play a vital role in the constructionand economic development of China’s petroleum industry, the level of its operatingefficiency reflects the management level of the domestic oil industry. The evaluation ofChina’s petroleum engineering technical service enterprises about their levels of operatingefficiency will be conducive to find defects in the process of business operations.This canhelp decision-makers update the enterprise development strategy, so that petroleumengineering technical service enterprises can get a better foothold in the oil markets at homeand abroad.The thesis focuses on the evaluation of operational efficiency. Firstly,it analysisbusiness efficiency theoretical from the meaning of business efficiency, business efficiencyevaluation method. Briefly introduced DEA cross-efficiency evaluation model and Tobitmodel.Secondly, the thesis built a petroleum engineering technical service enterprisesefficiency evaluation index system and the principle of the evaluation index that should befollowed, rules for index selection.It regarded total assets, number of personnel, scientificand technological innovation, market structure as input indicators, total revenue total profit,return on investment rate as output indicators.It successful introduced the DEA cross-efficiency model to the evaluation of the efficiency of petroleum engineering technicalservice enterprises.Through empirical analysis we can get the conclusion that the averagecross efficiency of China’s petroleum engineering technical service enterprises is0.4556.And operating level remains to be improved and perfected.Again, the DEA cross efficiency evaluation value is selected as explanatory variables,staff education level, the growth rate of total assets, business structure as explanatoryvariables, through the Tobit model regression analysis, the results show that the level ofemployees education and the business structure show a significant positive correlation withthe DEA cross efficiency evaluation values and the growth rate of the total assets shows nosignificant with the DEA cross-evaluation of the efficiency value. Finally, according to the results description of DEA cross efficiency evaluation, thethesis get some strategies as follows:building a competitive industry alliance; strengthen theGroup’s management advantages; optimize service structure, and explore the market;integration of internal and external resources, the implementation of a fast and effectivefinancing strategy; deepen the reform of scientific and technological system to enhance theability of technological innovation of Enterprises.
