Lean Six Sigma Project Management Implication

Basing on the definition of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projectmanagement, this thesis systematically stated the definition and corevalue of LSS and the application of LSS project management with thelatest world research findings in the beginning chapter. LSS project isplaying a more and more important role in enterprise’s management toimprove the management efficiency and project quality, reduce theproject cost and project cycle. So firstly, this thesis explained theadvantages of LSS project management and its application values basingon the features of LSS project management. Secondly, the thesis did someresearches on the LSS project assessment and selection method to selectthe appropriate LSS project. The method is a new way combiningqualitative and quantitative analysis through mathematics fuzzy hierarchytheory. Using this new method, we can make the LSS project selectionmore reasonable and applicable. Then, the thesis analyzed the LSSproject management process by building the LSS DMAIC structure,which would set a solid foundation for the LSS project implementation.Finally, as how to develop a useful LSS project performance appraisal system, this thesis did a future theoretical exploration and developed atotally new system to give a good example for enterprise’s LSS projectmanagement.All theoretic analysis in this thesis was based on the real LSSprojects in company R. Basing on different chapters, this thesis usedcompany R as a research object to demonstrate the new methods on LSSproject assessment and selection, LSS project management process andLSS project performance appraisal system. Last but not least, this thesismade a future outlook on the upcoming LSS project innovativeapplications.From the whole structure point, this thesis was based on theenterprise actual demanding and application. In order to make a balancebetween the academic and practical requirement, the thesis put the actualapplicability on the first priority. All in all, this thesis could provide agood example for enterprise to carry out scientific, ordering andstandardized LSS project management.
