Enterprise is more than a economic organization to create value for shareholdersbut a social organization to undertake the social responsibility positively in nowadays.It is a common that a normal enterprise undertakes and fulfills the correspondentsocial responsibility which is defined as a strategic choice. Only by realizing theimportance of social responsibility in a strategic perspective, the enterprise will getthe support from the shareholders, customers, partners, employees, government, inaddition, enhance the social reputation and the core competitiveness and improve thebusiness performance. But, enterprise must to cost time and money to complete theimplementation of social responsibility strategy, Whether companies had create theconditions for future sustainable development? Whether the relationship betweencorporate social responsibility strategy and business performance is a positivecorrelation? This paper try to study and solve this puzzles.As a member of society, a financial enterprise is bound to fulfill its social responsibility and carry out the strategy of social responsibility.The paper firstly defines social responsibility strategy and business performancein the first part of the theoretical research separately and then clarifies the status ofacademic research on the relationship between them; finally analyzes the connotation,the essence and characteristics of the Grounded theory.Secondly, according to the collected raw data of27financial companies,including the directors’ report, company news and corporate social responsibilityreport, this paper discussed its social responsibility strategy and business performance.After labeling by (defined phenomenon) and initial conceptualization, we get531tagsand255initial concept; By conceptualization and categorization, we abstract123concepts and74categories; By analyzing the selective decoding, we get four mainareas; Through the analysis of the main areas of a model, we identify the "AAA1management responsibility Strategy as\the core category. At last, we concluded that the social responsibility strategy of China’s financial enterprise promote businessperformance.Then, combining the characteristics of China’s financial enterprises andgrounded theory analysis results, the fundamental mechanism of corporate socialresponsibility strategy affects firm performance is due to the presence of thelegitimacy of business, and our financial enterprises to implement socialresponsibility strategy is to obtain economic legitimacy, social legality and legitimacyof the environment, and ultimately improve business performance. At the same time,we also established a theoretical model about the corporate social responsibility howto affect financial enterprise’s business performance.Finally, the empirical conclusion explains the mechanism. We select the quantityof information about CSR strategies as indicators to measure CSR strategies of the27financial enterprises, select the weighted ROE as a measure of operating performance,then begin to carry out the correlation and regression analysis,at last, we getconclusion as follows:1. The overall social responsibility strategy, economicresponsibility strategy, social responsibility strategy, environmental responsibilitystrategy are promote the business performance;2.the financial enterprise implementCorporate social responsibility strategy to get economic legitimacy, social legitimacy,the legitimacy of the environment to promote business performance;3. The economicresponsibility strategy, social responsibility strategy, environmental responsibilitystrategies of CSR have different facilitating effect to business performance. In view ofthe above conclusions, we give recommendations for the financial companies toimprovement.
