In17th century,China has been in the beginning of western learning,since thena large number of western science and technology was introduced into china. Thewestern academic thought changed the Chinese traditional culture and ideas.Therefore, it has important significance for Chinese science and technology historyto explore the scientific morphology and ideas in the early Qing Dynasty. Thisarticle takes a Qing Dynasty scholar’s academic thoughts as the breakthrough pointto explore the ideas of Liu Xianting’s academic research and thinking and thescience ideas of his scholars groups,and find out the science form under theinfluence of traditional science and its blending with each other after westernlearning into China, eventually explore the ideas of science and the scientificmorphology in that era.Firstly, it briefly introduces Liu Xianting himself and the background of his era.Secondly to generalise the system of academic achievements Liu Xiantingmentioned in Guang Yang Giscellanea,and analysis Liu Xianting’s ideas of Sciencemeticulously again. At last,to show the mainstream scientific morphology and ideasin the early Qing Dynasty through summarized the scientific ideas of Liu Xianting’sscholar groups,to find out the differences and integration between the traditionalChinese scientific morphology and ideas and the scientific development afterwestern learning. In this article, the point is starting with a Qing Dynasty scholars’scientific ideas,then rising to the science analysis of mainstream scholar groups.Finally, rising to study a period of the scientific morphology and ideas in China,thereby figuring out the causes and conclusion.
