Therefore, the study on selection and development model ofBinhai New Area has become a priority among the economy development of Binhai Newarea.In this paper, firstly it analyzed, combed, and compared with other areas to the presentdevelopment situation of Binhai economic, and on this basis it defined the related concepts,and it put forward the index system of the leading industry selection of Binhai New Area.And the selection of standard and principle for the index system were described in detail.Combined with the actual situation of Binhai New Area, it get the empirical research withfactor analysis method, principal component analysis and SWOT analysis method to theselection of the leading industry. Further, it selected two typical industries, and it analyzedthe future development mode in detail. Finally, it is the conclusion of this paper.
