An Study On The Supply And Demand Effects On Agricultural Social Service Of Chongqing

Agricultural social service is the prerequisite and basis of agricultural modernization. Since Chongqing is in the essential transitional period from troditional agriculture to modern agriculture, it’s a must to further improve and perfect the agricultualsocial service system to adapt to the new age of agricultural modernization and the complicated environment and challenges. Until now, the social service system running through the industry chin and paticipating by more subjectivity has initially taken shape. But in the process of service, what the problem commonly existed is that the service offered can’t meet farmers demands and what they supplied is limited, all of which put the construction of Chongqing’s new social service system in a severe situation. My thesis will practically investigate the demand and supply status quo between farmers and the social service subjects to analyse the supply and demand situation of Chongqing’s agricultural social service. Next, I will find the key factors which affect the supply and demand in agricultural social service by conbining related theories. Lastly, I wll estabilish the key factors affecting the agricultural social service by conbining the present situation of Chongqing’s agricultural social service. My research can be useful in strengthening and perfecting the agricultural social service system in Chongqing and will be help to catch the key factors to contribute to the realization of Chongqing’s agricultural social service supply and demand balance.In order to have an overall understanding of the supply and demand situation in Chongqing, my research made a survey of the farmers and service subjects in 23 districts and countis, which include the Changshou distrct, Jiangjing district, Bishan district, Dazu district, Tongnan county, Wanzhou district, Fengjie county, Shizhu county and Youyang county. Through the present situation analysis of the demand in agricultural social service, I found that the potential demand of Chongqing’s agricultural social service was not released and the demand structure remains to be optimized. Through the present situation analysis of the supply in agriculturalsocial service, I found that the supply subjects gradually diversified but the range and service contents remained to be enlarged. I also found that the supply and demand in agricultural social service has differences in quanlity, quantity and structure and the supply and demand is out of balance by further analysing the agricultural social service process. Within which the difference in supply and demand quantity reflected on the failure to meet the demands of farmers in Agricultural materials service, agro-technical training and Financial services supply quantity. While the difference in service structure lies in that farmers have more demands in all kinkd of service while the supply subjects put more importance techonically and mechanically.Through the analysis of the key factors in Chongqing’s agricultural social service, I found that the scale of the land and the the agricultural production income have auxo-action to the agricultural social service while the concurrent business level has negative effects to it. Besides, farmer’s age and education level have different effects and degree in agricultural social service. On the side of supply, the state of business of the subjects, supporting from the government, the recognization of demands and the institution guarantee have positive effects on supply. And the essential feature has little effects on it. By combining Chongqing’s agricultural social service supply and demand present situation and a comprehensive analysis the factors in supply and demand balance, I found that the main reason of the imbalance of Chongqing’s agricultural social service is that the service subjects’poor operating conditions, the lacking of government financial support and the service subjects’lacking recognizaton of the demand and supply information. As well as the dificiency of the scape of the land, low income of agricultural production and high concurrent business level.The conclusion combined with the present situaiton of Chongqing’s social service development and the present existing problems, can give advise on the balance of system design in agricultural social service. It also suggested that a thorough agricultural service information system is demanded, a relief in farmers demands of social service, a strength in consturction of the social service subjects and an optimation in service system operation environment.
