Study On Formation Mechanism Of Logistics Clusters Based On Railway Container Terminals

It has been found the aggregating phenomenon of logistics enterprises around the operating railway terminals. Logistics enterprises aggregating can develop into logistics enterprises cluster under certain conditions, and promote regional economic development as well. Under this background, a study on the formation of logistics enterprises cluster, which is based on railway container terminals, has been conducted. This thesis distributes the formation process of logistics enterprises cluster based on railway container terminals into two stages, which are based on Location Theory and Self-organizing Theory, respectively. In the meantime, field research of Chengdu railway container terminals and system dynamics has been adopted to probe into the formation problem of logistics enterprises cluster.Research contents are as follow:1. The relevant articles on formation mechanism of industry cluster and logistics cluster have been combed and analyzed. The connection and main difference of seaport, airport, railway logistics cluster have been discussed and summarized.2. There is logistic enterprises aggregating phenomenon around terminals, which lays the foundation of enterprises cluster formation. Through the concept definition of aggregation and cluster, this thesis holds that the formation of enterprises cluster can be divided into two stages, which are the aggregation of terminal logistics enterprises and the cluster of terminal logistics enterprises respectively.3. Based on diamond model, the terminal logistics enterprises aggregating diamond models are established, combined with the analysis of economic environment and logistics conditions around terminals.4. Employing system dynamics, a mechanical model of system mechanics on the formation relationship of terminal logistics enterprises cluster is established.5. On the case of Chengdu container terminals, a field research is conducted on the aggregating influence factors of terminal logistics enterprises. A system dynamic simulation on the formation of Chengdu container terminal cluster is simulated.
