The Choose Of Leading Industries Of Sichuan Province And The Development Strategies

Leading industries is the engine of regional economic growth, the right choice of leading industries, not only related to the quality of their own development, but also determines the quality、speed and reasonable regional industrial structure of the entire region’s economic. Sichuan is a province in western China, the resources of agricultural, hydropower is more than most other western provinces, the industrial development is particularly important to Sichuan, in 2013, the total industrial output value accounted for 51.3 percent of the total economic output of Sichuan, this means the development of the industry is very critical to enhance the overall strength of the economy in Sichuan. Because of so many industrial sectors, we need to recognize the right active force in them and try our best effort. This article is based on consideration of the above problems, analyzing the 41 industrial sectors of Sichuan Province, trying to find out the leading industries fit the situation in Sichuan province. and to seek solutions for strengthening the industrial advantages of leading industries.This paper reviews the relevant previous studies, on this basis, describing the current situation of industrial development in Sichuan, by the definition of the reference of selecting the leading industry of Sichuan Province, constituting the index system containing industrial correlation, regional comparative advantage, industrial economic efficiency, industrial concentration, technological progress and social benefits. Using principal component analysis method to analyze the various industries, according to the final score to sort the industry, ultimately, selecting the agricultural products processing, automobile industry, electronic information industry, energy and power industry as the four leading industry in Sichuan Province. Based on the analysis of problems existing in the development of leading industry, Finally, for each leading industry, puts forward the solutions such as integrating 她 the industrial park, cultivating industrial clustering, increasing industrial R & D investment, implementing brand driven strategy etc.Due to non-availability of some indicators, we use a similar alternative indicators for the non-availability of some indicators, we use a similar industries’mean substituting the missing data, coupled with my limited research capacity, so the results may be some errors.
