As one of the 665 top mechanical industry enterprises in our country, the main applications of S enterprise are for the medium and small civil ship host, large bulk carriers and large container ship auxiliary machinery, as well as the areas of nuclear power plant emergency generator, stationary power stations, marine engineering, and wind power. Although the enterprise has achieved a lot of success through the efforts in decades of years, it showed a lot of disadvantages in the process of the customs. Such as the speed of order response is slow, the process is complex, the supply cycle is long, and the efficiency and attitude of the cooperative logistics company is not that good, etc. All of these caused serious wasting of resource and that the cost remains high. So, this article which studies on the optimization of custom product process has very important theoretical and practical significances.This article, firstly, presents the meanings and values of the enterprise process optimization. Then based on the custom products, the ideas of the business process reengineering and purchasing management, the article carries out investigation and research on custom product order processing, material requirement purchasing plan process. It uses ASME method and VISIO model to analyze the original process of S enterprise and advance some optimized suggestions. Meanwhile, it analyzes and optimizes the purchasing process that influences the execution of the order. In order to ensure the order fulfillment of S enterprise and reduce customer complaints, it also establish a kind of high efficiency, fast response, low cost solution that target at the enterprise order processing mechanism which consequently improves the competitiveness of S enterprise.As an epitome of the heavy machinery enterprises in our country, the study of the process optimization for the S Enterprise has a certain reference meanings to other similar custom products production enterprises. The work of optimizing the process of custom products can start from the process of IT system. We can make a further study to the better combination of business process management and information system.
