Since 1980’s,reform and opening-up leads to the transformation of the economic system and the fact of non-public sector of the economy. At the same time, the field of employment has changed, a large number of surplus rural labor force transfer to the city, educated youths back to the city and the laid-off workers get employed again. These factors gave birth to the emergence of the informal employment groups. The growth of informal employment is fast and plays a more and more important role in the employment market of our country. However, because of the particularity of the informal employment groups, inherent instability factors make security risks increase. And the social security system of our country at the beginning of the establishment is mainly designed for the formal employment units, lacking the institutional support for the informal employment groups. Therefore, it is imperative to make a comprehensive and in-depth research and analysis on the characteristics of informal employment groups and the present situation and problems of participation in the insurance, and then find the influence factors. In this context, I have done the work as follow:Firstly, I collected a lot of literature, and systematically expounded the background and research methods of the topic and the concept, classification and the basic characteristics of the informal employment group.The second, the paper researched the basic theory of informal employment social security issues involved, and analyzed the relevance between the theories and the informal employment security.The third, the paper summarized the development of China’s social security system, especially the social security policy of informal employment group evolution, and then put forward the policy direction for the subsequent improvement of foreshadowing.Fourthly, selected Shijiazhuang as an example to carry out the investigation and study, provided the targeted questionnaire, and reveals the present situation of informal employment social security by using descriptive statistical method, then find the prominent problems. Using SPSS statistical software for factor analysis, successfully reduced 16 factors to 5. According to the degree, they are economy, the household registration, legal rights, policy management and the concept of consciousness.The fifth, the paper summed the present problems and the influence factors, put forward the suggestions to promote informal employment groups to participate in social security, including the idea, policy, supporting three levels, and each level also put forward specific policy measures.In a word, this paper is supported by theory, guided by the policy, based on practical investigation and research, using the divergence of innovative thinking, combined methods such as factor analysis and practical research with this thesis successfully, and scientific analyzed the influence factors of problem, then put forward the multi dimension, feasible policy suggestions to solve the problem of social security and the informal employment groups based on the problems and factors.
