| Canned citrus of China is in the first place in production and export value. Since 90’s in 20 centuries, the output of canned citrus has been keeping leap and occupying the first station in the world. In 1998, the ouput of canned citrus exceeded Spain in number, and until 2013 this station of the advantage had been also continued. Although the output has the advantage in number, it is faced with a few production constraint, for example, outmoded production technology, low quality, bad performance of brand-building, increasing export cost, low economic value added(EVA), great centrality of export markets, frequently suffered protective actions and anti-dumping investigation, and so on.Finally, all of these factors influent the level of the quality of the apuaculture and restrict the exploiting of the particular resources advantages of aquaculture’s produce. In addition, we are confronted with rat race with other export countries in export market and continual promoted technical barriers with import countries. To reslve these difficulties, it is hard to cope it only rely on the advantage of the resources. If we would like gain the chance of development in the international market in the future, Chinese canned citrus product should turn the train of thoughts from relying on comparative advantage to the development of competitiveness. Therefore, it is extremely essential to us to analyze the actual inland and abroad produce and tade condition, to estimate the international competitiveness of our country’s canned citrus systematically and roundly, to find out the principal factors of impacting the improving of the international competitiveness.This paper is concerned with the international competitiveness and market development of canned citrus in China. The analysis framework was constructed with the foundation of the international competitiveness theory of Michael Porter and comparative advantage theory, and identified the index system of international competitiveness in this paper. The paper researched the integrared use of economics and management, according to integration of empirical analysis and normative analysis, horizontal analysis and vertical analysis.The train of thought and logical framework in study is as follows: Firstly, on the basis of evaluating the Chinese canned citrus trade, this paper draw on the achievements which have already been, constructed the evaluation system of Chinese canned citrus international competitiveness; And objectively evaluated and analyzed international competitiveness of Chinese canned citrus using empirical method and evaluation system constructed in the paper; further analyzed and compared the current situation and developing trend of international competitiveness of USA and Spain, which were also big exporters of canned citrus. And we concluded the advantages and disadvantages of international competitiveness of Chinese canned citrus by comparing. Besides, this aticle also analyzed the current situation of export markets of Chinese canned citrus using SWOT model, and concluded the existing main problems related to market development. The principle reasons of the existing problems were analyzed and evaluated. Finally, this paper proposed some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions of the continuous development of Chinese canned citrus industry from the perspective of strengthening international competitiveness and expanding export. |
