Industrial park is the cluster center of modern industry and the backbone of the regional economic growth. Its rapid development has leaded to the blind expansion of construction land and caused the waste of land resources and ecological environment destruction. That promoted us to do in-depth discussion and research about the planning and exploitation of the industry park, in order to make sure the park and land resource can be sustainably used and developed. Ecological suitability assessment can determine the land exploiting direction based on inner ecological suitability and provide scientific proof for land utilization and formation, which is of vital importance to guarantee the rationality and sustainability of land utilization. Therefore, how to scientifically、reasonably and correctly make the ecological suitability for industrial park land has great research value and realistic significance.Based on this, this paper analyzes the research status about land ecological suitability evaluation at home and abroad, and meanwhile, it illustrates the ecological suitability assessment as well as the connotation and the basic theory of ecological suitability assessment of industrial park. C hina Coal Jinhaiyang industrial park is taken as the research object. This paper builds the evaluation index system from two aspects: ecological resistance and social potential, and carry out the industrial park land ecological suitability assessment, then analyze it with the evaluation results. To accomplish it, this paper determines the index weithted by analytic hierarchy process, takes GIS as support and uses the factor comprehensive evaluation model of weighted summation method. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1) When chooses the indexes of industrial park land ecological suitability evaluation, the park land condition characteristics should also be fully considered as well as general indexes, such as high tension line, coal railway, gully, etc.(2) Analyzing the ecological limits and potential can better reflect the restrict degree of the natural ecology of park and the social economic suitability.(3) Comprehensive weighted index method of GIS can complete all kinds of ecological, social and economic factors analysis, which is helpful to express the land space and quantitative information, in order to provide decision- making information for the park construction.(4) According to C hina coal Jinhaiyang industrial park ecological suitability evaluation results, the maximum area of regional ecological resistance can be 386.2 hectares and causes severe park land division. The minimum area of regional ecological potential accounted for 21.59%. The suitable area and relative-suitable area account for 63.30%. According to the space performance characteristics of the evaluation results, the northwest of key construction area should be exploited and distributed in the near future and northeast area is suggested a preliminary development, in order to lead the development of restricted-construction area. The restricted-construction area is not supposed to be developed. It will be taken as the backup land resource and not be exploited until the condition is fulfilled and the land is consolidated. Ecological region should build ecological corridor under the premise that the high tension line be adjusted, so as to turn the disadvantages into advantages.
