The paper selected Jinqiao village, Daan town, Huanjiang county, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region as a typical case, used the theory of ecological services system as a guide, and selected a research area "core" ecosystem services which based on the needs of local farmers, from the perspective of the needs of farmers in the study area, combined with different ecological functional properties. The paper had done statistics and analysis of farmers awareness and demand situation of the study area’s 11 "core" services, and analyzed the main influencing factors of the awareness and demand of the farmer ecosystem services,by visiting and doing questionnaires to 21 village 164 households of the study area and using statistical analysis and cumulative Logistic model. The study results showed that:(1)The quantitative calculation showed that the awareness of the farmers surveyed of 11 kinds of ecosystem services are in descending order: food supply, raw material supply, water supply, social security, biodiversity, recreation, waste disposal, air purification, natural disasters minimized, water purification, culture. To some extent, it reflected that farmers who had moved into the area currently had a widespread concern of economic functions of ecosystems which had direct interest with their own, while they lacked of sufficient attention and understanding of the ecological function and social function of ecosystems. So it is urgent to enhance the farmers’ cognitive of indirect benefits of the ecosystem.(2)The importance(demand level) of the farmers surveyed of 11 kinds of ecosystem services are in descending order: food production, water supply, natural disasters minimized, raw material supply, waste disposal, water purification, social security, air purification, biodiversity, culture, recreation.Although the problem of food and clothing in the study area currently had been solved, the concept of farmers still remained in the pursuit of material life and their pursuit of spiritual life was low, from the demand perspective. This was also consistent with the current level of farmers’ economic development in the study area, which meant the farmers who moved into the area was in stage of survival economic development. The farmers had different needs of different ecosystem services, which would lead to farmers put different emphases on the use of natural resource in production and daily life, such as devotion to material goods while ignoring the ecological construction.(3)Analyzing the characteristics of individual farmers, high education level, men, immigrants and young farmers had the higher level of knowledge of ecological systems. Analyzing the characteristics of rural households, agriculture household had a high proportion in income, family arable farmers whose arable land was larger recognized ecosystem services a higher level of knowledge. Analyzing the subjective attitude of farmers, the famers who would like participating to return farmland to forest and pay attention to ecological and environmental protection had a high cognitive level of ecosystem services.
