With the rapid development of China’s economy, market competition has become more and more fierce. Enterprises cannot establish their own competitive advantage only depending on price, quality and service, etc. In order to satisfy diversified market demands, enterprises need to utilize their own advantage in technology to speed up research & development and shorten the life cycle of new products. After joining WTO, China issued a strategic decision that “Using Informationization to promote industrialization in order to stimulate the development of information technology” for promoting the process of enterprises industrialization and Informationization. More and more enterprises draw lessons from domestic and overseas management experiences and start to adopt and popularize Enterprise Resources Planning(ERP) system. However, the economic benefits differed in thousands ways after implementing ERP system. A lot of enterprises met various difficulties, some even quit. Scientific and comprehensive guidance is needed for enterprises to reasonably implement ERP. Under this premise, in this research, the implementing situation of ERP in China was detailed described and the deficiency and countermeasures were concluded according to the enterprise situation in Hebei Province, which was expected to be contributable to the industry informationization and mordenization. The thesis is consisted of 6 chapters. The background, significance, idea, and contents of this research were introduced in the first chapter. The concept of ERP, management thought, development and system components were introduced as well. Current application situation of ERP was analyzed in Chapter Two, which included its development course, enterprise application, the problems occurred in the implementation and corresponding successful solutions, etc. A specific analysis on medicine companies was given being a solid theoretical support for TYS validation. Current informationization situation of TYS was analyzed in Chapter Three, which confirmed the feasibility and necessary of ERP implementation. The demand analysis and functional departments were detailed described in Chapter Four. Combined with the characteristic of project life cycle of ERP, an analysis of its implementation process was described and an assessment indicator system suitable for TYS was established in Chapter Five. Finally, a performance evaluation model of ERP for TYS was developed based the evaluation methods adopted by domestic and foreign enterprises, which could provided suggestions and help for enhancing the level of ERP application.
