In recent years, extreme weather caused by global warming exists frequently, which pose a serious threat to the human survival and social development. The intensified greenhouse effect causes the extensive concern of governments and people, therefore, reducing carbon emissions and developing low-carbon economy has become an inevitable choice for every sustainable development country. As a developing country. China is in a critical period of economic development, and also under the huge pressure of carbon emission reduction. In this background, study on the influence factors of low-carbon economy and development path in China is particularly important. In this paper, the factors which affect the development of low-carbon economy in China has been analyzed deeply, and the paper select ten indexes to reflect them comprehensively, then on the basis of the data from 1985 to 2012, it uses the grey correlation analysis to select indexes which correlate with the low-carbon economy development highly, and cointegration analysis and vector error correction model with carbon dioxide emissions to analyze the relationship between them from two aspects of long-term equilibrium and short-term fluctuation. On this basis, the paper studies the development path of low-carbon economy in China, joining the main influence factors to the environmental kuznets curve model, and fits the environmental kuznets curve of China, then determines its existence and analyzes the specific location of the inflection point. The results of the study can be divided into two parts:First, the influence factors of the low carbon economy development includes economic development social development energy consumption technological progress and international trade, among them, the effects on carbon dioxide emissions of the top three are significant, at the same time, the gross domestic product (GDP), the urbanization rate and the total energy consumption can accurately reflect the characterization of them, and it exists the long-term stable equilibrium relationship and Granger causality between them and the carbon dioxide emissions, and in the short term, their fluctuation will also affect the carbon dioxide emissions, the error correction rate was 39.76%. Second, the low-carbon economy development path of china is "U" type curve, the GDP of the inflection point is 2025.306 billion, and it is far less than the GDP of China, which suggests that our country is on the right side of the inflection point, namely the stage of the environmental quality deteriorating with economic growth.Based on the above analysis, this paper proposes to keep the economic growth and adjust the industrial structure; control the population growth and encourage the low-carbon life; develop the clean energy and optimize the energy structure; increase the technology investment and improve the energy efficiency; improve the export structure and strengthen the international communication.
