Analyses The Developing Track Of Modern Henan Textile Industry And The Cause Of Its Trajectory

The textile industry is a industrial sector that has the largest scale, the most widely distributed and the early development in modern China. However, most of the previous research on the textile industry concentrated in the developed areas such as eastern coastal area, the study on inland areas’ textile industry is relatively weak. This paper focus on modern textile industry in Henan, and explore how modern textile industry in Henan goes its development path through economic, political, social and international situation, the workers’ movement.In modern Henan, the textile industry rise around 1920, due to the end of the first World War and Chinese political turmoil caused a chain reaction, so that the modern Henan’s textile industry comes difficult just when it raised, and has a though time in the whole 1920 s. After 1930, due to the improvement of the situation at home and abroad, the development of Henan textile industry gradually restored, and even some years have profit. After the September 18 th Incident, China textile industry lost the Northeast market and depression suddenly, Henan’s textile industry did not quickly affected by the depression. However, the situation of shortage of funds is a constant curse, and through the tough time in the whole 1920 s, resulting in modern Henan the textile industry accumulated liabilities, losses, obsolete equipment, production efficiency is low. After Bank of China has a plan on textile industry for inland province such as Hebei, Henan and Shanxi. Since 1933, Bank of China bought acquisition of textile enterprise property rights directly or to take over management rights through a variety of means and finally controlled all these enterprises in 1936. Bank of China made all these enterprise new through the restructuring, update equipment management, reform, training of workers and a series of methods. The textile industry of Henan embarked on the road of the development of integration. In 1937, The Japanese has started the aggressive war against China, with the fall of Henan, the textile industry in Henan falled or migrated to Chongqing, ended its difficult course.Fundamentally speaking, there are two ways for modern industry to development: one is the natural development, the level of economic and social development to a certain extent come very naturally produced and developed; another is due to itself does not have or do not have conditions for the development of modern industrial, but there is a strong government, from top to bottom to promote the emergence and development.
