Study On Current Development Adn Countermeasurers On Guangxi Strategic Emerging Industry

Since we are now living in a post financial crisis era, western developed countries has begun to cultivate a number of emerging industries to promote the development of science and technology and enhance the ability of innovation of science and technology as a national priority strategy in this. China has issued a series of policies and measures to encourage the development of strategic emerging industries,in order to seize the new round of industry competition, putting forward the idea of the vigorous development of the seven strategic emerging industries. Many provinces(cities, autonomous regions) have formulated supporting policies focusing on the development of strategic emerging industries. As an underdeveloped area, Guangxi should vigorously develop strategic emerging industries but not traditional industry to achieve leapfrog development. In 2011, Opinions of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Government on Accelerating the Fostering and Development Strategic Emerging Industries was issued, injecting a strong impetus for the development of Guangxi strategic emerging industry.In the course of the study, we use various research methods by referring to these theories and methods such as technology economics,regional economics, industrial economics, econometrics, management science and system science. Firstly, we analyse the research status and briefly introduce the concept and main characteristics of strategic emerging industries, which laid the foundation for the subsequent empirical study. Secondly, we compare is the development of strategic emerging industries both at home and abroad, analyze the experience of the western developed countries, and then study the development of strategic emerging industries in the developed area of experience, to provide a reference for the development of Guangxi. Thirdly, we analyseanalysis of Guangxi’s strategic emerging industry with SWOT, introduce the current situation and summarize the main features of Guangxi’s development. Besides, we carry on the SWOT analysis, make clear the internal strengths and weaknesses of Guangxi and the external opportunities and threats, laying the foundation for the development strategy of Guangxi strategic emerging industry. Last but not least, we come up with several policy suggestions on the development of Guangxi strategic emerging industries according to the above analysis of strategic emerging industries SWOT results.
