In this way, the issues in the quality and safety of the vegetables are what they concern most. Shanxian, in Sanmenxia, provides the most vegetables for the city areas. So, it is important to supervise and improve the safety standard of the vegetables, which has an important effect on the local people’s life quality and personal safety, and the social peace and development. Meanwhile, improving the quality and safety of the vegetables also beneficially influence the farmer growers, who will use as little pesticide and chemical fertilizer as possible in growing. If so, the environmental pollution will be reduced, which will protect the ecology. The safety of the vegetable products will help develop the agricultural quality and optimize the agricultural structures.With several years development, nowadays in Shanxian, there are 61.64 hm2 areas growing vegetables and 8 vegetable safety product demonstration areas. And the product quantity can reach up to as many as 360,000,000 kgs. These demonstration areas have large sales, high construction standards, and advanced production technology, which have obviously promoted the local vegetable industry. Besides, the local government have also set up a special office, Vegetable Quality Supervision and Management Office, to arrange the vegetable product in the whole city and make sure the quality and safety of local vegetable products. However, there are also a lot of problems present, including the overuse of pesticide and chemical fertilizer, the imperfection in market supervision of quality and safety, the farmers less knowing of brand, and the lower running quality and competition. According to these problems and the local reality, the thesis will offer some advice to the local government and agricultural sectors: first, improve the local growers and people’s consuming awareness, and their awareness in vegetable safety; second, guarantee safe production by using scientific technology and reasonable vegetable cultivation techniques; third, improve governmental functions, so that they can develop a perfect vegetable production constitution, and safety standards and standardized production,construct standard vegetable production bases,improve the market access system for vegetables security and the quality inspection and safety service system for vegetables,strengthen the quality of vegetables supervision and ensure the quality and safety of vegetables; fourth, support the vegetable leading enterprises, establish vegetable brands and enhance brand awareness to improve market competitiveness. At last, the author hopes that the thesis can offer some theoretical and practical support to Shanxian vegetable industry development. The author also hopes that it can provide a scientific reference to the local government and agricultural sector’s plan and decision to develop quality vegetable production. |
