| As a necessity of the daily life, vegetables play an important role in our everyday life. In recent years,the fluctuated price of vegetable,on the one hand, cause influence on farmers’income, reducing the farmer’s motivation of vegetable-growing; on the other hand, this plays serious impact on residents’ daily lives. So, it is urgent to control the sharp fluctuation of the vegetable price. Many scholars theoretically pointed out that the key to alleviate the sharp fluctuations of the vegetable price is to improve the organization of agriculture. The establishment of agricultural industry organization can help farmers to realize scale management, reduce the production cost and transaction cost, reduce the production risk and management risk, improve the efficiency of agricultural production and agricultural product circulation speed.With the development of modern agriculture, the form of agricultural industry organizations in China is gradually enriched, such as, farmer professional cooperatives, specialized market, the agricultural product associations and leading enterprises. At the same time, China’s agricultural industry organization is also gradually increasing. By the end of 2013, the number of farmer professional cooperatives in China has increased to 982400, compared to 2012,the growth rate reached 42.06%, the total investment has reached 1890 billion, compared to 2012,the growth rate reached 71.85%. The number of professional market in China has reached 3708, compared to 2001 increased by approximately 1.79 times. However, the fluctuation of vegetable price has not been stable. Based on this background, drawing on the achievements of previous researches and combining with theoretical analysis, the paper describes the current situation of the agricultural industry organization and the fluctuation characteristics of vegetable price, analyses the influence mechanism of agricultural industry organization on vegetable price. And then the paper makes an empirical study on the influence of different agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation by panel data model.Studying on the influence of different agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation has important theoretical and practical significance. It’s self-evident that the agricultural industry organization has an important role in reducing transaction cost, improving the efficiency of agricultural production and quality of agricultural product and so on. However, how the agricultural industry organization influences the vegetable price fluctuation remains to be fully explored all the time. Theoretically speaking, the agricultural industry organization can achieve scale economics to reduce the produce cost and transaction cost, enhance the ability of farmers to resist natural disaster and risk, which can stabilize the price of agricultural products. However, in reality, on one hand, the number of agricultural industry organization is increasing; on the other hand, the price of vegetables has been in a state of fluctuation. Giving a reasonable explanation for the phenomenon in an economic way can help us understand the logic relation between the agricultural industry organizations and the vegetable price. Throughout current literatures, most explain the influence of agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation only from the qualitative perspective. The paper using empirical modeling method to analyze the influence of agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation must be a beneficial complement to the existing literatures. Meanwhile, Studying on the influence of different agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation can not only help understand the influence function of agricultural industry organization on vegetable price, but also provide important academic references about the development of the agricultural industry organization.The hypothesis of the paper is the development of the two kinds of agricultural industrial organization may not play an effective role in stabilizing the vegetable price. According to the technical line of theory to empirical measures, the paper adopts qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, and then carries out the study as followings:looking up the literatures home and abroad and raising the problem to be studied; reviewing the relevant theories and analyzing the influence function of agricultural industry organization on vegetable price fluctuation; introducing the current situation of the agricultural industry organization and the characteristics of vegetable price fluctuation; constructing panel data model to analyze the influence function of farmers professional cooperative and specialized market on vegetable price fluctuation; proposing some suggestions on the direction of agricultural industry organization based on the empirical conclusions.The paper reaches some main conclusions as follows:(1) farmers professional cooperative and specialized market did not play an effective role on vegetable price fluctuation; (2) In contrast, the specialized market’s function in control the rise in vegetable price is more obvious;(3) Vegetable production cost is not the main factor for the rise of vegetable price;(4) Labor costs is the main factor leading the rise of vegetable price;(5) Natural disasters are not the main factors which caused vegetable price fluctuation.The paper puts forward some suggestions on how to develop the agricultural industry organization as follows:(1) the government should improve the relevant policy system to guide the agricultural industry organization’s development;(2) the government should increase agricultural production subsidies;(3) encourage the cooperative organizations to use mechanized facilities; (4) increase the agricultural infrastructure; (5) promoting the trans regional development of the agricultural industry organization;(6) the agricultural industry organization should improve the internal management system and improve the related service. |
