During the rapid development process, all of the Chinese auto companies have to facing the situation such as the market game for competitors’products, the continuous expansion of production capacity and increasing requirements for quality. This kind of situation not only brings great challenges to our current vehicle quality control system, but also provides us opportunities for quality innovation and improvement. We need to investigate the quality monitoring and evaluating system for automobile manufacturing process. And then combined with the current after-sales customer feedback for quality issues, the KPI monitoring activities for current different manufacturing processes should be diagnosed and analyzed. Also, current quality business model should be improved and the operation process should be standardized. This will not only benefit the improvement for our products’ quality, but also provides a reference for other auto companies’ development for quality control during manufacturing process.This paper is to investigate the SGM weakness for quality control system during the flexible manufacturing process after vehicle mass production. Such so-called weakness refers to the lack of effective monitoring methods and process for quality control during the major four vehicle manufacturing process. This paper will mainly be focused on the following three aspects.First, to collect information, the objective and in-depth analysis and investigation is needed for the mass production, which means not only to collect the relevant materials internally for quality control management process via the research on the vehicle quality control management system for outstanding domestic competitors, but also to find the external causes for our company’s quality management control system non-reaching standard through the understanding of the excellent GM management process (General Motors Process Control Process).Secondly, it’s about to investigate company’s internal quality control cases scientifically and thoroughly, especially to study the data for manufacturing quality and after-sales quality issues scientifically. This is to find the internal causes for quality control system weakness during the major four manufacturing processes which include covering parts punching manufacturing, BIW manufacturing, paint spraying and overall assembling.Finally, this paper demonstrates the organization of the corresponding quality management theories and statistical methods. The problems for different manufacturing process quality control can be described accurately and completely via scientific management methods. By analyzing qualitatively and quantitatively using statistical methods, the real causes can be found to propose practical recommendations and conclusions. Thus the multi-brand full range vehicle manufacturing quality control process can be improved.
