TQ Flush Window Project Quality Control Study

Quality is one of the most important indicators to measure theperformance of a project, and the project quality management is one ofthe important knowledge areas of the project management. A projectwithout providing qualified final product or service is hardly a successfulproject. Quality control of the products and parts is particularly importantin the automotive industry. The product or part with defect shall not onlycause economic loss, but also endanger the end-user’s safety, even life.Therefore, the full quality control during the start, implement, andacceptance of the project is quite necessary to ensure that the projectdeliverables will achieve the quality level required by the customers.Project quality control is to supervise and manage the whole processof project formation, implementation and realization.Firstly, the thesis started from the characteristics of qualitymanagement in the project management process, introduced generaltheories and methods of project quality management, especially someuseful tools from ISO standards, such as control charts, process capabilityindex, machine capability index, etc.Secondly, the thesis introduced the project management and thequality control methods of TQ flush window project, then analyzed thekey quality control facts of TQ flush window project, considering thefeatures of TQ slush window and its key processes.Thirdly, this thesis studied the application of quality control methods in the project, analyzed the data collected from the key processof TQ flush window project, found out the root cause of the quality defectin the process, improved the stability of the quality, and make the processback to a controlled state.Finally, this thesis discussed the implement of the project qualitycontrol methods in the project and the future implement of the projectquality control tool in the coming projects.The successful application of project quality control methods in TQflush window project improved the company’s quality management level,and also provided a reference for the quality management in the futureprojects.
