Well-being is an important goal which people are pursuing for, and it can motivate employees through improving their work-related well-being. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of human resource management practice on work-related well-being based on an empirical research of stated-owned enterprises.At the beginning of this research, the semi-structured interviews to senior leaders are conducted, and some information are collected as follows:firstly, human resource management practice will effect employee’work-related well-being and career growth; secondly, employees put a high value on their career growth, and the enterprises are also trying to explore the relationship between career growth and work-related well-being; thirdly, organizational justice plays a vital role between human resource management practice and career growth. Employees may have a quick career growth in a relatively fair enterprises, and then get high work-related well-being. Based on the interviews, a questionnaire survey is conducted in 18 stated-owned enterprises and 1120 valid data are collected. The main statistical methods includes descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, ANOVA and multiple regression, et al. The main results are as follows:(1) There are significant differences on work-related well-being among employees who have different education backgrounds and job grades;(2) Human resource management practice has a significant positive effect on employees’ work-related well-being. Specifically, except employee benefits, the other six dimensions of human resource management practices including career development, employee compensation, job security, job environment, employee training, employee care have positive effects on work-related well-being;(3) There is a significant positive liner relationship between career growth and work-related well-being. Specifically, career goal progress has the biggest effect on work-related well-being, followed by professional ability development, remuneration growth, and promotion speed;(4) Career growth is a partial mediator between human resource management practice and work-related well-being;(5) Organizational justice has moderating effect on the liner relationship between human resource management practice and career growth;On the basis of the analysis of stated-owned enterprises, this paper tries to investigate the influencing mechanism of human resource management practice on work-related well-being in Chinese situation, and provides some related suggestions for enterprises.
