With the rapid development of engineering machinery manufacturing industry in china, enterprise production scale unceasingly expanding, the type and quantity of the production equipment are increasing. According to statistics, in more than 80% of the engineering machinery manufacturing company, the value of production equipment is more than 60% of the total value of fixed assets. With the progress of science and technology, the function of production equipment is more diversified, and its performance and working conditions have a great impact on the enterprise’s production efficiency. Therefore, the management level of equipment assets will directly affect the cost control and the economic benefit of enterprise.EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) is a new enterprise asset management information system. It takes the enterprise asset management as the core, takes the daily operation affairs of the assets as the main line, bases on information flow control, and is committed to improving the enterprise assets management level. This thesis based on the background of equipment resource management information system of Shantui Construction Machinery co., Ltd. The analysis, design and implementation of system are according to the software development process strictly. Firstly, it introduced the EAM system’s research background and significance, analyzed research status at home and abroad presently, and discussed the related theory and development technology of EAM system in detail. Then, with the basic knowledge of EAM system as the theoretical guidance, according to the present actual equipment management situation of Shantui Construction Machinery co., Ltd, through in-depth analysis of the demand research, determined the business process of the company for production equipment management. After clear EAM system demand in Shantui Construction Machinery co., Ltd, project group carry on the detailed design, system development, debugging, running on-line work.EAM system of Shantui Construction Machinery co., Ltd consists of nine functional modules:project management, asset management, measurement management, materials and spare parts management, maintenance and repair, fault management, contract management, equipment operation rate, operation management and three auxiliary modules:analysis report, system management and early warning information. Each module contains a sub inside, used to achieve specific functions. The formal operation of the system, not only realizes the equipment resource information sharing in each department and subsidiaries of the company, but also effectively improves the running reliability of the equipment, prolongs the service life of equipment, reduce downtime, reducing the amount of spare parts inventory and repair costs, improve the company economic benefits, enhance the competitiveness in the construction machinery manufacturing industry.
