With the development of society, more and more consumer demand for human diversity, and higher quality products, industrial chain in the upstream and downstream enterprises require quickly product delivery, manufacturers raise more and more strictly control on the cost of enterprises, based on those changes, many enterprises began to think of production management from large-scale production and management to lean production mode. This is different from the mass production management, especially in the usual production process to record a large number of production-related data, and data analysis. Many companies can't adapt to this kind of management thinking, herewith began to compete at a disadvantage status. In this context, MES manufacturing execution system is more and more attention to the enterprise and import into the actual production management in the past.This case is taking the GAL company as an example, the factory is facing the three main problems, how to speed up the production cycle, how to improve the efficiency of production equipment, how to improve product quality control (statistical analysis) of production-related data, Through the analysis on people, equipment and process, to find the problems, and think the application of MES manufacturing execution system for production practice and research. First of all, it introduces the process control system (WIP) module in the manufacturing execution system of MES, and improves the production period through a large amount of data acquisition and analysis. Secondly, the equipment efficiency of GAL company can be improved by using the equipment management (EMS) module and OEE (Overall equipment effectiveness) equipment efficiency calculation method. Finally, according to the quality control of product process, use the "SPC statistical process management" module for the whole production process quality control and product yield improvement.This study is important to solve the problems faced by GAL companies, and also has reference value for other semiconductor manufacturers.
