Research On Financial Support Of The Silk Road Economic Belt In Shaanxi Province

In September 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping brought up the idea of the Silk Road Economic Belt when he visited the four countries of Central Asia. He stressed the important role as a new start of Shaanxi Province as it was the birthplace of the ancient Silk Road, from where, on the path of industrial development and opening to the west, the economic growth of the Silk Road Economic Belt should be achieved. As is shown in the experiences of many countries, financial development should be an essential pillar to sustain the development of modern economy. Thus, it is of great significance both pragmatically and theoretically to study the way to promote the supportive role of financial development in the establishment and development of the Silk Road Economic Belt.The dissertation aims to find how financial development can push the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt of Shaanxi Province via studying the relationship between the two. It contains theoretical analysis, discussion of current situation and problems, empirical study and orientation of financial support, altogether four parts and is divided into six chapters. Firstly, the dissertation builds a basic framework for finance supporting the Silk Road Economic Belt according to theories in hand. Secondly, it describes and analyzes the current situation of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the finance of Shaanxi to discover problems. On the basis of the aforesaid research, it applies empirical analysis on both and proves that finance is indeed an essential pillar for the founding and developing of Shaanxi Silk Road Economic Belt. Thirdly, it works out the leading industry in the Silk Road Economic Belt based on the analysis of its relevance with industries of Central Asia. Last but not least, the dissertation makes judgment on the orientation of financial support of Shaanxi Silk Road Economic Belt.
