The development of economic globalization and the progress of science and technology make a variety of economic development, regional industrial division of labor and cooperation is becoming more and more complicated. In order to promote steady and fast economic development, regional also gradually to a state of balanced development, which makes the industry division of labor and cooperation gradually close. Various forms of industrial division cause production activities of the reform of the economic subject and organization forms of transformation, but also affect the adjustment of regional industrial structure and regional structure. Follow the industrial division and cooperation, liquidity of the factors of production between regions is stronger, industry transfer phenomenon has been turn up. As xi general secretary in 2013 economic belt proposed "silk road", under the new situation, the further opening to the outside world of Gansu province and realize the transformation of development have an important opportunity.In this paper, using literature analysis and empirical analysis method, with the silk road economic belt as the background, on the basis of the theory of Adam Smith, David Ricardo, on the basis of the theory of industry in Gansu province as the main arguments of industrial division of labor, through data analysis and research of industrial division of labor in the silk road economic belt in Gansu province were studied.The paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction of research background, significance, methods and research at home and abroad in economy and industrial division of labor to do overview. The second part is about defining the relevant concepts and expounds on the basic theory is introduced. The third part is to analysis the situation of the overall industry in Gansu province, from the basic situation of Gansu province to industrial development and the status quo, analysis of the problems existing in the industrial structure of Gansu province. The fourth part of Gansu province in the "silk road" economic belt of the empirical study of labor division, through the research on data collection and analysis of Gansu province in the principle of division of labor in the "silk road" economic belt and the existing problems. The fifth part is for the current through analysis in Gansu province to participate in the regional industry division of labor and cooperation study found wrong, put forward the corresponding solutions and Suggestions. The sixth part is the summary of the paper.Through the study found that:the industrial structure of Gansu province is unreasonable, the proportion of three industries is not balanced, and the industrial development of resource dependence is stronger, lead to environmental bearing capacity is abate, cause adverse effect to the sustainable development of the economy. In the process of participation in regional industry division of labor cooperation, will by adjusting the industrial structure of Gansu province, let all kinds of resources in the area between the liquidity enhancements, improve the urban functions, in order to better promote the development of regional economy as a whole. Therefore, in the process of industry adjustment, Gansu province, with the support of national policy as the main support, strengthen regional innovation ability and the level of science and technology, tend to be more rational in resources exploitation, accelerate the transformation of economic development, integration of industry resources to its better service to the economic development, under the guidance and support of government actively participate in the opening exchanges and cooperation, realize the steady and fast development of Gansu province.
