Strategic Choice Of Silan Electric Power Company Under The New Situation

Many enterprises in monopoly industries in China has not yet turn to be market corporations, while still being operated by plan as past. The Electric power industry is one representative sample of them. There are many enterprises like Silan Electric Company in Electric power industry, whose business is operated by ordered prefer to by competed in a long time, have to facing complicated environment today, and the strategy management is more important for them than the ordinary enterprises.Also, the Chinese enterprises are in the program from planned economy environment to market environment, without experience and success examples. And the strategy management which be determined by many facts such as difference between industries, resources of the enterprise itself, and the social environment changing, etc., it is a completed and system program to an enterprise. That is the problem wanted to be resolved in this thesis.In the thesis, Silan Electric is as a typical case to show how to determine strategy and implement the strategy.First, the strategy theory is studied and summarized, to get a completed structure of an enterprise theoretically. Developmental strategy, compete strategy and tactics of the strategy are thought to be the three part of a complete strategy management structure.Secondly, the out environment and the five competitive forces of Silan Electric are analyzed, and the developmental strategy and compete strategy are determined. To Silan, the developmental strategy is turn itself to a real company operated by itself, and the most appropriated compete strategy is differential strategy according resources matching, risk and effectiveness in confronting the five compete forces.Thirdly, detailed tactics to get the strategy targets are given to Silan,In a word, this thesis is try to get an framework about strategy management from the view of a manager of an actual enterprise, and used the theory to the practice. It could be a reference to strategy decision and management, except some unavoidable shortage.
