Study On The Public Transport Development Stretegy About Wuhan

As the development of Wuhan has been plagued seriously by the traffic congestion problems in recent years, the urban development is facing a huge challenge. How to solve this problem? Wuhan addressed the issue by developing the construction of public traffic. However, simply referring to others’experience is not enough, and we also need to take the advantage of the knowledges of management science and information science. This paper dives deeply into the problem and presents strategies on how to develop Wuhan public transportation system. Based on the SWOT analysis, the paper summarizes the Wuhan Public Transport Demands from the macro and micro aspects, which lie in the needs of refining the management of inner city and the Big Traffic between Urban Agglomerations. To resolve the problem, the paper is focus on strategic vision aiming to develop the Intelligent Transportation System under the framework of Polycentric governance, which refers to alternative strategies by TWOS matrix. In the end, the paper proposes taking the effective actions from three major perspectives including management system reform, coordinated sets of measures and the horizontal coordination about the public transport development stretegy of Wuhan.
