Study On Countermeasure Of The Policy Of Giving Priority To The Development Of Public Transportation In Nanjing

With the rapid development of economy and society,the number of urban population has been increasing,population flow rate keeps accelerating and flow range keeps wid ening,passengers requairs higher demands for travelling.Similar to other large and m edium cities,Nanjing,lots of travelling demands and limited supply capacity of transp ortation resources inevitably produce conflict,while generating urban traffic congesti on and increasing pollution problems,then transportation and urban environment sust ainable and harmonious becomes an important problem faced by urban development.Experience shows that the most effective way to ease traffic pressure is to vigorously develop public transportation,and considering the public traffic features such as publi c welfare and non-profit,the development of public transport requires government sup port.In the above context,this paper takes public transport priority development strategy of Nanjing for the study,analyzed the current situation of public traffic in Nanjing with relevant theories,and explored the problems existing in the development of public tra nsport in depth through comparative study,then proposed measures of priority to publ ic transport to help promote the development of urban public transportation of Nanjin g,ease the traffic congestion and achieve sustainable development of urban transport.
