With the rapid development of the current social services, female migrant workers are more likely to join in the hospitality industry as a representative of service industry. Their life in city is totally different from the previous life in country. They have to face an unprecedented life concept and way of life because of the changing environment. The previous studies tend to focus on men migrant workers rather than the female, but in city life, the survival problem of the female workers is much more serious than the male.According to the body theory, the author takes female migrant workers who work in restaurant as a subject of research. In order to find the details hidden in their bodies and bring to light the relative social identities and cultural connotations, the author describes their daily work in the hotel which is via a subtle way to discover experience and present city life situation. Working in the open area, female employees body performance is a part of hotel service. To begin with, the employers take physical quality into consideration in the interview; then the female employees should keep in good look during daily working which means they receive a thorough training in every aspect of the job. They need to adjust their biological clock due to working by turns. They also need to increase their physical skills to satisfy the customers. Even their activities are shacked by different regulation for different occasions.After entering the restaurant, the appearance and practice of female migrant workers suffer from the discipline of restaurant. Although they can do nothing but to enduring the pain of work and sexual harassment, they also internalize the discipline and try to improve themselves to adapt to city life. When facing the oppression of the restaurant, female migrant workers will go against by slacking work, taking the means of feminine to safeguard their own rights and interests, until they resign. The building of body about female migrant workers is objectively influence by the patriarchal culture, the difference between urban and rural areas and industry particularity, as well as the individual life background. These factors influence their survival behavioral strategy. The action of female migrant workers strategy is their individual selection when facing the individual structure disorder, culture discipline and the demand of employment. Due to the differences between urban and rural areas, social culture and industry, the living conditions of female migrant workers in the city is more serious than men, they are facing more difficulties in the work and life.Through daily physical presentation and practice of female migrant workers who working in restaurant, their urban living conditions and their real needs can be more intuitively showed. Thus providing the evidence from experience for the revision of the policy and social intervention related to security of female migrant workers, so as to realize the more in-depth research of floating population.
